Ancient Ruins of Southeast Utah

Whether you call them Anasazi or Ancestral Pueblans (the debate continues) or simply Ancients, there is no doubt these people chose to live in spectacular settings of monolithic sandstone walls, verdant green canyon bottoms and mystifying blue skies. Randy and I had the pleasure to wander some of these canyons for a few days this month. Steep climbs down into the canyons and somehow steeper climbs out, rewarded us with numerous sightings of 500+ year old ruins, piles of pottery shards and arrowhead chips, and even rock art on the canyon walls.
