Decided to go for a hike with Moki and my friend Jason. We got a late start so it was already hot at Centennial Cone Open Space when we started on the trail. I wanted to explore a creek I’d seen when driving below in Clear Creek Canyon on Highway 6. It looked like it could turn into a little slot canyon. It ended up being too hot and I didn’t want to punish myself, Jason, or Moki with a long hike. So after a couple miles we headed back and drove up into the Arapahoe National Forest with a cooler of beer, a couple of lawn-chairs, and my pellet gun. Now if that’s not a Colorado Redneck afternoon, I don’t know what is.
